Mr. Tripp Metzger is entering his 13th year as director of student activities at Mechanicsville High School. Mr. Metzger is currently in his 20th year serving Hanover County and Mechanicsville High School. He is a proud alumni of Lee-Davis High School class of 1999. Mr. Metzger previously served as a physical education teacher, driver’s education instructor, head boys basketball coach, and assistant baseball coach at Lee-Davis.

Mr. Metzger earned a bachelor of science degree in health, physical education, recreation, dance, and driver’s education from Longwood University in 2003 while also participating as a member of the varsity baseball team. He is a member of the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA) as well as the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). He is the current Region 4B chairman and serves currently as the Region 4B football ratings chairman and webmaster along with serving as the treasurer and district scheduler for the Capital District.

Mr. Metzger resides in Hanover with his wife, Crystal, son, Camden, and daughter, Chloe.
